"On Sale" Dates and Events
Hurricane Harvey—San Marcos has quite a reputation for flooding, and yes, because of our beautiful rivers part of the town is prone to that. But it’s not our part. The Historic District is on a hill! We have stayed high and dry through all the torrential downpours of the last 30 years. This end of town simply does not flood, so is always Evacuation Central. Through the months of August and September, we are extending a 25% Storm Discount to anyone escaping flooded areas.
Christmas is right around the corner and we are all having fun cooking, baking, wrapping and decorating. The inn, the downtown, and the river are all so beautiful this time of year...plus, there is no better place in Texas to go shopping than our enormous Outlet Mall and adorable San Marcos downtown! The Dillon family will actually be staying at the inn Dec. 24-25, complete with our children who grew up here, and our new baby granddaughter, but there's for many more, so come join us. Or, give a gift certificate to someone else who needs absolutely nothing, or...come to San Marcos on New Year's eve to play. It's just a wonderful, festive place and we can't wait to have you here! All rooms are 20% off....even on Christmas.

Let there be Tea Parties
When the inn's new manager, Paula Oxford, joined the team, she
brought along many years of experience running a Victorian inn in
North Texas. Her specialty is ladies' tea parties, a unique and
surprisingly fun way to celebrate any special occasion. As in England,
her afternoon teas are all about gracious conversation, a relaxing end
to the day, and lots of tasty tidbits. Scones, savories, and sweets are
on the menu every Wednesday afternoon from 3-6. Come in, pick your
favorite hat and antique china teacup, and pretend you're far, far away
from real life! It's especially great for moms and daughters. Call for
reservations and bring as few as 2 or as many as 12 of your BFF's. By
advance arrangement, other days are also available.

Last Minute Weekends
Normally the inn books up for the weekend by the middle of the
preceding week, and normally we have a two-night minimum for any
weekend. But keep your eye out for un-normal weekends! If you have a
last-minute urge to head in our direction, and if it's Thursday or
beyond, check to see if we still have rooms open, and if last-minute
discounts apply. Also, on such weekends, it's possible to book your room
for just one night instead of two.
